John Babbage - saxophone
John has been a member of bands including Big City (with whom he released an album of his own music), the Tony Hobbs Big Band, the Nasty Saxophone Quartet, Artisans Workshop, Contemporary Focus, the Ignatius Jones Big Band, and the Queensland Orchestra. He has worked with a long list of artists including Marina Prior, Tommy Tycho, Tina Arena, Dale Barlow, Vince Jones and Anthony Warlow.
As a composer, John has been commissioned by the Queensland Theatre Company, Channel 9, the Brisbane Convention Centre, and the Gold Coast Cultural Centre. He studied jazz at the Queensland Conservatorium, and with Mike Nock, Roy Thompson and Clive Moorhead.
