WHAT IS TOP UP?

Top Up is a musical education program that enriches the musical journeys of thousands of young people around Australia each year. The brainchild of virtuoso indie quintet Topology, Top Up was a State Award Winner for Excellence in Music Education at the 2015 APRA Art Music Awards. For 21 years, this program has brought together world-class professionals and young musicians to experiment, create and perform side by side. Top Up empowers musicians, songwriters and composers of all ages and backgrounds.

WHAT IS CREATIVE BOOT CAMP?

Now in its 4th year, Creative Boot Camp is an intensive 5-day program offering emerging musicians the rare opportunity to unleash their creative potential through inspiring, integrated and industry relevant training. Through hands-on group workshops and one-on-one tutorials with Topology’s pool of published composers and virtuoso musicians, each participant will be guided through the process of composing and recording a new original work in 5 days. The program culminates in a recording of all participants’ works created throughout the week.

  • Hone your instrumental skills
  • Cultivate your inner performer/songwriter
  • Collaborate and perform with professionals
  • Gain practical industry knowledge

WHAT’S DIFFERENT IN 2020?

The Creative Boot Camp program will be undergoing a few changes this year to address concerns around COVID safety. A mix of online and in-person sessions combined with added hygiene and security measures will be adopted to ensure the safely of all participants and teaching staff. Topology will circulate these measures to all registered participants. For any questions or concerns on this, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
